The Carambola Golf and Country Club is truly one of the great treasures of American golf. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., one of the most highly respected designers of the 20th century. With no expense spared, Carambola opened in 1966 to rave reviews and was considered by the master designer himself to be one of his finest courses.

Just a short distance away is the Carambola Beach Resort offering a spectrum of delightful activities and services. You will enjoy secluded beaches. Carambola Beach Resort is soon to become a Renaissance Hotel and Resort.

Decades ago members of the Rockefeller family went on a search for a special parcel of land. Money was of little concern, but value was critical. They wanted a truly unique acquisition offering the ideal winter location for a first class golf club with exceptional future development opportunities. They chose the property known today as Carmbola, the largest privately owned parcel of land in the island of St. Croix, in the U. S. Virgin Islands, just 20 minutes from the airport.

They built the world-famous Carambola golf course. Golf magazine awarded this Robert Trent Jones' designed 18-hole course a gold medal as one of the world's best courses.
